Verses of the Week

Hey, girls, time for Verses of the Week. We got so much snow yesterday, but today, it was a bit warmer. Anyway, here are the verses.

Proverbs 22:17-21

“Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.  For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.  That thy trust may be in the Lord, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.  Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge,  That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?”

So, we need to pay attention to the wisdom God has put in the Bible. If we are constantly in His Word, we’ll remember what it says. Then, we’ll be ready to talk about it. We’ll be able to give answers to people who ask us about our faith. God’s Word is so important. Many today have disregarded the authority of the Bible and tried to impose what they want to believe on the Bible. But we need to read God’s Word daily and know and believe what it truly says. Then, we can give unbelievers true answers based on the Bible. (I got a lot of these ideas from watching Ken Ham videos. Ken Ham founded Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum in Kentucky.)

Anyway, have a nice day. Did any of you get any snow?

  1. We had ice Friday night but warmed up in the 40’s yesterday so it’s all gone plus a lot of our snow, too. It was below zero last night but no more snow for now.

  2. A cousin’s daughter just got her first American Girl Doll. She picked out Grace. Her mom said she bought some 17″ doll clothes at Target and Walmart for her. Have you bought any clothes there?

    • Cool! I love the Grace doll and will be adding her to my collection soon. I have bought clothes from Wal-Mart and Target. They work ok for AG dolls, but Wal-Mart and Target dolls are a bit thinner than AG dolls, and I find that, although better priced than AG outfits, some of their clothes are made out of junky fabric. So, if I buy any clothes from them in the future, I’ll be sure to check the quality of the fabric.
