Doll Comparisons: Faces

Hey, girls! I thought it might be fun to compare all the different face molds in my doll family.

I have 5 different face molds represented in my doll family.

Alissa has the American Girl classic mold and Kendra has the American Girl Josefina mold. They are quite different. Kendra’s nose is wider and her lips have a different shape. I feel like the Josefina mold looks more mature. Also, Kendra’s eyebrows and lip gloss probably help.

Alacia has what seems to be a popular Gotz mold. It looks a lot younger than American Girl faces.

In this picture, Alacia’s cheek looks the fattest, but I think she’s closer to the camera. Kendra has the fattest cheeks.

Kendra’s cheeks are a lot fatter and more pronounced. She also has a more pronounced chin.

My two Madame Alexander dolls, Chental and Chaitali, have two very different face molds, which I think really make them look like the nationalities they are. They’re so pretty!

Their heads are a lot bigger than AG’s. Their heads can also tilt, which helps with expression.

 

The dolls in my doll family with the classic AG mold include Alissa, Shayne, Natalie, Maridelle, Lorie, Jaicee, Ginny, Carli, Bella, Georgie, and Johnnie Ray.

The dolls I have with the Josefina mold include Kendra and Helena.

The dolls with the Gotz mold include Toby and Alacia.

Chental and Chai are the only dolls I own with their individual face molds. I didn’t include Ciara in this since she isn’t 18in.
