Helena’s Photoshoot

This didn’t turn out as artistic as I imagined.

I love the lighting on these!

Wow, I took a lot of pictures of her shoes.

I love the roots.

Wow,  every time I do  a photoshoot of one of my Josefina mold dolls, I want to give her a new profile pic!

It took a while to get her some good footing.

Shadow! Just a tip, don’t take doll pics in direct sunlight unless you want to wash out their skin. I took more at this spot, but the sun totally bleached her out.

If you look closely, you can see cobwebs in the crack.

I absolutely love this dress! It’s probably my favorite, or one of them, and I realized I had never done a photoshoot with it.

I wanted to get this kind of shot when I did Johnnie Ray’s photoshoot, The Gathering Storm, but I didn’t manage to get it. It started raining as I was finishing up, so I got Helena on the rain-spattered pavement!

Also, someone selling doll clothes at the Colorfest had a Rebecca doll, and I noticed that AG has changed Rebecca’s eye color, probably when BeForever came out.

This lady’s Rebecca has the light, yellowy green hazel eyes, the same as GOTY Mia (my Ginny).

The lighting isn’t great, but Helena has darker hazel eyes. They have a more dark green gray base. Her eyes are the same as MyAG 56’s (my Natalie).

Hi!!!!!! Sorry for not posting much. I feel like I say this a lot, but life is busy. We had VBS at my church this past week and it was such a blessing! One of the little boys in my group accepted Jesus as his Savior this week!!!!!!! I am so happy!!! I figured I’d answer y’all’s  questions from my 100th post Q&A.

1. Are you more imaginative, or logical?

I’d say I’m more logical. I had a better imagination when I was little.

2. Favorite novel?

Does a series count? If so, Harry Potter!

3. Favorite movie?

Again, do series count? Harry Potter!

4. Least favorite movie?

Hmm, good question. I have to think. I really didn’t like The Manchurian Candidate much, and wouldn’t really recommend it.

5. Favorite post you’ve done?

Probably a photoshoot of Carli.

1. Why did you start this blog?

I read some other blogs and thought it would be fun to have my own. I also wanted to use my blog to spread God’s Word.

2. Does anyone you know in real life have a blog?

Yes, but no doll blogs.

3. Have you ever moved?

Yes, but it was to a house in the same general area as my old one.

4. Were you homeschooled all your life?

No, I went to public school from kindergarten to fourth grade.

5. Frozen or Big Hero 6?

Oh my word! Big Hero 6!!!!! I love that movie so much!!!!!! Baymax is your personal healthcare companion!!!!!!! 🙂

6. Would you rather have a house full of cats or one horse?

One horse. I’m not fond of cats.

7. What is the first blog you followed?

I don’t exactly remember. Probably Little House of American Girl, or American Girl Northwest. (Which sadly, is now nonexistent.) 😦

Not really, just doll clothes, but that still kinda dolls. 🙂

Probably A Tale of Two Bad Mice by Beatrix Potter. I always liked it because it had a doll house in it. 🙂

A pink Deathly Hallows shirt I made, black basketball shorts, and neon pink flip flops. The shirt has one of my fave Dumbledore quote on the back. “A true leader does what is right, no matter what others think.”

4. Have you ever travelled out of the country?

Nope.

1. What’s something you and your family enjoy doing together?

We like watching movies together.

2. Would you say you are a big Disney fan.

I’m not a huge Disney fan, but I definitely love some of their movies. Big Hero 6, cough cough. 🙂

3. Do you like shopping all day or would you rather stay home?

I love being out and about and seeing people, so I’d go with the shopping all day.

Felicity’s (Alissa’s) bright green and Caroline’s light aquamarine.

2. When did you become a Christian?

I was told I was when I was little, but I didn’t remember it, and struggled a lot with doubt until I made sure that I was saved at camp in 2013.

3. Favorite Bible story?

Hmm, I’m not sure. Jesus dying and rising again is definitely the best, though!

I like carnations, roses, and hydrangeas.

Hmm, Kaya, either the new Sonali mold doll, or the other Sonali mold doll with straight hair, the new Asian, maybe the one with medium skin and blue eyes, the one with short red hair, green eyes, and freckles, Josefina, Samantha, the MyAG with short brown hair with side bangs. There’s probably more! 😉

5. So far, what do you think of Maryellen Larkin?

Well, I’m not really fond of her name, no offense. She seems kinda cute, but I don’t think I’ll get her. She isn’t unique enough to my collection. I personally would rather they keep Caroline, but then again, I already have her.

My Trip!

Hey, guys, I’m gonna show you the pics I took on my trip. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been busy. It’ll take a while to upload these. 🙂 So, the first day, we stopped at my aunt and uncle’s house and I took some pics of my adorable cousin, Lilly.

Swinging is, like, her most favorite thing to do, ever. She kept saying, “Will you stop me and push me so high?”

Happy Easter!

Hey, people! I’m back! I had a great trip, and I’m glad to be back. I have some news for y’all.

I got a new doll! Yeah, I know, I just got four. I’m not usually this spoiled. I had a babysitting job, so I already had some money, and I found this Nicki doll on eBay for $72 because her hair has been chopped and the seller didn’t know what they had, which was lucky for me.

I got Nicki to look like me, because our hair is practically the same color. I don’t care for her haircut, but we’re going to AGP Tysons Corner on Thursday and my Mommom is lending me the money to get her a new head!

A kinda blurry close-up of her face. I have named her Meghann Ariana, the MA after myself (Morgan Ashley), and the Ariana I got from Ariana Dumbledore.

I also dressed all the dolls up for Easter. They all want to wish you a Happy Resurrection Day! “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” -Matthew 28:6

What I Got!

Hey, girls! I went to the AG store in Tysons Corner Virginia today! I didn’t take a billion pictures, like last time, but I still want to show you what I got!

She is so pretty and her name is Bella Evangeline!

Since I only opened one doll for the car ride, I did the rest of my opening at home.

I also got Rebecca! I renamed her Helena Elaine.

MyAG 61! She is beautiful! I named her Georgiana Claire, after George Weasley.

I stayed up super late last night to do my school, so most of it would be done for the trip today. After I did the rest of my school, I of course, had to do some photoshooting! I’m very thankful to my great friends and family who gave me the birthday money to buy these three beautiful new dolls!

Ginny’s Birthday “Snowtoshoot”

Hey, girls! It’s Ginny’s birthday! She’s 10 again! (My dolls’ ages never go up.) So I took my two hazel-eyeds out for a photoshoot in the snow, hence the title. There aren’t a lot of pics, because my fingers were freezing off, but here you go.

They’re so cute! I think it’s funny how Natalie’s boots sank deeper into the snow than Ginny’s did. Also, this fence is around our compost pile, but I thought it would be cute for the photo.

After I moved Ginny, Natalie decided to fall back-first into the snow. Nattie, I was saving the snow angel pictures for last!

I was trying to avoid letting this happen.

I took some individual shots, too.

I put some snow in Ginny’s hair and took several shots of the wind blowing it.

I held her up in this one to catch the wind. (Lovely background, right?)

I think this blue looks very good on her.

There are more individuals of Ginny. It’s her birthday, after all. 😉

I think this is my fave of the whole photoshoot.

I really like this one, too. I love how you can tell the differences between their freckles and different shades of hazel eyes in the natural lighting. Natalie’s eyes have a more gray-brown base, where Ginny’s are more green.
