New AG Products: Mixed Feelings
Hey! As many of you know, I no longer support the American Girl company. The other day I looked on their website just to see what they’ve been doing with themselves these days. I have some likes and some dislikes. Get ready for a rant.

I love this idea! I wish they’d had this when I was still buying dolls! I actually have gone on there just to have some fun and invent dolls that I always imagined. But, $200?? For a doll???? That’s a lot! Shouldn’t surprise me though.
Boy dolls! About time! I always thought it would be cool if they did this. But now, they’re putting my grandma out of business. 😦 I really like the blonde boy and the African American boy.

First of all, I think she’s super cute and I like her hair! But, she’s a lot like several other GOTY dolls. We just had Grace, who had side bangs and the same face mold, and Lea, who had the same face mold and medium skin. It just seems like they aren’t being as creative as they could be. And…SHE WANTS TO GO TO MARS?????? Totally unrealistic! Like, sure, encourage girls to dream big, but they oughta keep them grounded in reality.

Ok, really AG? It looks like they took a bunch of products they’d already made, slapped them on a doll they’d already made, gave her a name, and started selling her. She looks like she’s a bunch of leftovers.

New Dolls!!
Hey, girls! I had thought my doll family was complete. But my grandma is finishing up her Etsy business and let me pick out three of her boy dolls! Also, my grandma wanted to get a Nanea doll. My mom ordered one for her but then my grandma ordered one for herself. So, when my grandma tried to return the one she bought, she got a refund and was told to keep the doll! So, we had two Naneas. My mom was going to resell her, but I thought she was really cute, so I traded Carli to my mom for the Nanea doll! I’m pleased to introduce the four new additions to my doll family! The pictures aren’t super great because I took most of them inside tonight, but I wanted to show them to you. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some nicer ones later.
Please welcome Iolana Keala Kahele! She is so pretty! I love that they made a new face mold for her!

HELLO!!!!!!
Hey, guys! I’m at home on Christmas break after my first semester at college! It’s so nice to be home! I had an amazing first semester! I’ve made amazing friends and God has given me opportunities to trust Him this semester. My friends and I started a prayer group called Climbing with the Lord, because we meet at the rock wall. I’m so thankful for each of them! I’m really glad to be able to post and update you guys! I didn’t exactly realize how much I missed the blog until I logged in to approve some comment. I hope to post at least once or twice for you guys over break, but we’ll see. I hope you guys all have an amazing Christmas!

Probably Goodbye for Now
Hey, girls! As you may have noticed, I really haven’t been posting on here much. It’s been super fun to have a blog, but I honestly don’t have a ton of time or motivation for it. I’ve been trying to get ready for college since I’m going next month, and I will probably only bring one doll with me there. I still love my dolls, but not as much, I guess. I really enjoyed getting back on an approving comments, but I hardly go on the computer right now. I’m still going to leave this blog up so you can look at old posts if you want, and I may occasionally post on here, but I haven’t really been and it’s not a priority in my life. I’m so glad to have met so many of you on here. Thank you SO much for your sweet, encouraging comments. I’m so glad that you guys like my blog and I don’t think I’m gone for good. So, talk to you when I talk to you. Thanks so much for everything.

I made some updates to the Meet the Doll Family page. I changed a few names and updated Johnnie Ray’s profile pic. I’m also thinking of changing Georgie’s name to Aveleen McKenzi. What do you think?

Pics from my Trip: Johnnie Ray
Hey, girls! Yes, I’m still alive! I’m kind of to the point where, I still enjoy blogging, but it’s just not really a big priority in my life. I still like dolls, but not as much, I guess. Anyway, I went to visit my aunt about a month ago and finally got some nice pictures of Johnnie Ray. Whenever I’d wanted to take photos of her, I was just at home and I’ve taken tons of pictures in my yard already. Anyway, my aunt let me take pictures in her beautiful yard. Without further ado…

Runaway!
Hey girls! My friend M&M and I did a collab with one of her dolls. Kaya takes it from here.
I sneaked in the window of Morgan’s house. I had to get help.
I climbed down her bunkbed ladder and hoped she wouldn’t see me.
“Kaya, what are you doing here?”
I turned, horrified. Then, I let out a sigh. It was only Georgie.
Georgie came up beside me.
“I ran away from home,” I said.
“Why did you run away??”
“I had to. I went to the doctor’s today, and they said I had to have head surgery! I’ve heard about people going to the doll hospital for head surgery and it sounds terrifying!”
“I agree! That sounds awful!”
“I need a place to hide.”
“I know a place.”
I followed Georgie.
“Quick, get under here!” Georgie said.
“Georgiana, what are you doing?”
Oh, no! We turned. It was Alissa.
“Kaya, what are you doing here?” Alissa asked, sitting down.
“I ran away from home because I’m scared to get head surgery at the doll hospital!”
“Because my hair is all messy, I have to get surgery!”
“You don’t have to be afraid,” Alissa said.
“I went to the doll hospital for head surgery before and the doctors were really nice. And I felt so much better afterwards!”
I was shocked. I never knew that about Alissa. And maybe she was right. She was older and knew a lot of stuff.
“You should go. Trust me, you don’t have to be afraid. And I’ll pray for you.”
Alissa held out her hand to me.
“Thanks, Alissa. I feel so much better. I’m going to go back home.”

Surprise
Hey, everybody. It’s Shayne. Ugh, I was having an awful day. After a rough day at school, I went straight to babysitting Ljubljana. I know, that’s a strange name. It’s pronounce Loobly-ana.
Anyway, I left her sitting on the floor and went to the kitchen to get a snack.
Crying came from the other room. I sighed and went to see what was wrong, without grabbing food.
Ljubljana had fallen over.
I walked over and picked her up.
I figured I’d just bring Ljubljana with me to get food, but then, I was interrupted my the sound of snarling and paper ripping.
I turned, and saw that Honey had gotten a hold of my notebook from my backpack.
When Honey saw me, she snatched up the notebook and ran away.
When I finally got a hold of it, it was covered in slobber. Gross!
I was so glad to get home. Natalie met me at the bedroom door.
“Hey, Shayne. You look really tired.”
“Yeah, it was a really rough day.”
“Well, I’m sorry to hear that. I have something that might make you feel better, though.”
She left and returned with a box.
“I got you a present for your birthday.”
“Aww, thanks, Nat! Honestly, I was having such a bad day, I kind of forgot it was my birthday.”
“Well, open it.”
We sat down and I opened the box.
The box contained a new dress!
“Thanks so much, Natalie!”
“Go put it on and get your hair done. Meet me back here in twenty minutes.”
Puzzled, I went to my room to get dressed.
“Hey, Shayne. That dress looks great on you.”
“Thanks! You look great, too.”
“Ok, come on.”
We walked down a few blocks to a small cafe.
“What are we doing here?” I asked.
“You’ll see.”
We walked in. Natalie led me through the cafe.
“Happy Birthday, Shayne!”
Johnnie Ray, Chai, Maridelle, Chental, Ginny, Kendra, and Alissa stood in the corner.
I was shocked. “Guys, you planned a party for me??”
“I thought it would be nice for some of us older girls to have a night out. Bella and Carli are babysitting.”
“Thanks so much, guys. You’re the best sisters I could ever wish for.”
